Let's face it, 80% of the web is filled with stuff so ugly it hurts your eyes to look at it. Ever since the web started up, they term "designer" changed from someone who went to school for graphic design to anyone who can export a Word document into HTML. Many people on the net claim to be web designers, but are still looking for their first job and barely know how to drag a drop an image in FrontPage. Just do a search for "web design" and you'll see what I am talking about. If you are looking for a web designer to create a web site (or any other custom graphic) for you or your company, please read on. I'd love to help you with your next design project. I have worked with 100's of clients and created 1000's of graphics for people around the globe. Whether you are looking for a web site, a web site template, a logo, illustration, icons, buttons, banners or animations - I feel confident that I can do it for you. Many people think that they can save a few bucks by hiring someone with less experience to create their web site, but before you hire Joe Blow designer, your cousin Vinnie or let one of your employees take a wack at your web site, here are some things that you should ask them:
I can answer a proud YES to all of these questions as well as many more that I have left out. You only have one chance at impressing a customer and if you don't do it in the first few seconds then you have most likely lost them forever. Sure, you can save a few hundred bucks (maybe even a few thousand) by going with Joe Blow designer, but it's not worth it. You may say: "I don't need a very professional looking site, just one that works" - If you are thinking that, then erase that thought from your head. Your wrong. A bad web site is just like a bad flyer, it gets tossed in the garbage instantly and you have lost that sale/visitor forever. If you are going to spend the money, then do it right the first time. I have had many people come to me for a quote and decide that it is to much so they try and do it on their own. They go out and buy an HTML book and something like FrontPage and 2 months later they have a ugly looking attempt of a web site and they come back to me to create a professional looking one. This has happened to me many times. They just wasted tons of time and money and all they have to show for it is something they don't want to show in the first place. Don't make the mistake others have done. I designed a web site for a car dealership once that was a little hesitant about spending $2,000 for a web site. They did it anyway and now that web site is selling 3-5 cars a week off of it. They are now totally happy that they spent the money, it paid for itself in the first month. If your site is well designed and well marketed, then it will make you money and it will pay for itself in a few months. I've seen it happen time and time again. Let's be honest, most internet web sites are not making money off of them, why not, because of the lack of a good site and good marketing. I can offer both to you. I've spent tons of time investigating what works and what doesn't work on a web site. Do you think that my site gets over 10,000 hits a day and generates over $20,000 a month just because it got lucky? Nope, it's the fact that I know what works and what doesn't and I apply these things to my site to make it successful. I'm not saying all this to claim that I'm the best in the world or anything, because I am far from it. There are tons of great designers out there, but the net is flooded by "web design wannabes" and I just think that you should know the difference between them and a true web designer. Now that I have talked your ear off, why not look at some of the 100+ past web sites that I have designed for others. You can also check out my digital portfolio for other types of design work that I have done in the past. If you feel that I'm your man for you next design project, I'd love to work with you.
