Larabie Fonts - Mac fonts

I get quite a few messages from people who want to know how to convert Windows fonts to Mac fonts. I don't know anything about Macs so I got someone else to write these instructions. If you Email me with any Mac questions I'll be forced to shrug my shoulders at you!

I don't know much about Macs, that's why I'm glad that Davey Debus converted them for me. I'm sure it was a hell of a job converting and archiving each font so please send him a note of thanks and check out the fonts he made. If you have any questions about Mac fonts I'm of absolutely no help whatsoever. There may be times when some of the newest fonts won't be on this list. If you need them right away, there are instructions for converting PC fonts to Mac fonts at the bottom of this page. Just in case you skipped ahead to this section without looking at the rest of my pages, all the fonts on Larabie Fonts were made by Ray Larabie and are freeware. I will, however, gladly accept donations.

Converting Windows fonts to Mac fonts
1. Download the Zip file to your desktop.
2. Then, using ZipIt, unzip the font and you'll get a list of files contained therein.
3. Find the font.ttf and expand it, again using Zip it. It will land on the desktop (if you so wish) as a TTF file.
4. With a copy of TTF converter (fount in the fonts/ray/arc/ directory), convert the TTF file to a suitcase by this process:
  - The TTF Converter will throw up a screen than contains, in some cases, the name of the font in the bottom portion, highlighted.
  - If not, you must click on "Customize Font" to name it (or else it will not show up on the pull-down menu), and save it.
  - You then have to name the suitcase.
5. Place the suitcase in the fonts folder and voila!
